Toothpick grass (Ammi visnaga "Green Mist") 1 gram, ~1600 seeds

875 Ft

Toothpick(Ammi visnaga) 'Green Mist' is a cultivar of the European wildflower from the Middle East and the Mediterranean, which is great for bouquets or even as a dry flower. It looks a bit like wild marigold, has a similar height, and in English toothpick is called "Queen Ann's lace", similar to wild marigold. The opening flower heads are greenish in hue and then turn white, forming almost hemispheres. The name 'toothpick' comes from the fact that the dried form was often used as a toothpick, in some places still today. It is also a good self-seeder, perfect for filling in empty spaces in flowerbeds or replacing spring bulbs. You can reseed every 2-3 weeks with 1 to 1 batch for continued summer flowering.

Sow the seeds in spring in prepared soil or pots. Plant them in their permanent location, they do not like transplanting. Cover the seeds only thinly, a few mm thick... Keep the soil moist for the first few weeks. Flower as an annual through spring sowing from mid-summer. Can be sown in stages, 1 to 1 every 3 weeks, so that flowering is absorbed. Good self-sower. Delight in the spectacle!

TIP: sown before/when the spring bulbs flower, the annuals will flower just as the spring bulbs are disappearing and will cover the drying foliage of the bulbs.
